HOW TO USE GFindster (Alpha)

• First set the Preferences by clicking on the Menu->Preferences from the main activity

- Chat Name: Enter a chatname without spaces - if its invalid you will not be able to save
- Enable local chat: If you would like chat with local users, check here. If you disable local chat, you will be chatting with global user

- Lag time: Increase the lag time if you are getting 0 users or your network is slow
- Server (Currently disabled, it connects to irc.freenode.net for now) 

- Run In Background - If you would like to recieve messages in the background, check here (This will impact your battery usage)

• After setting preferences, set profile by clicking Menu->My Profile
• Modify and save your profile (For uploading pictures to your profile, please send your pictures to gfindster@gmail.com for approval)
• Now click on the Connect button
• Afer successfull connection, click on the Friends or Twitter feature
• FRIENDS NEAR ME Feature
  • Next click on Friends button (Top button), you will be forwarded to the Map View where you may see list of all the people on the chat location.
  • You can either chat to a friend in private or to the entire location. 

    To start private chat, click on the people(marker on the map) and click chat
    To start chat in the group click on Menu->Chat

  • To see all the users Zoom out by press O or Menu-> Zoom Out
  • To see location details of user, Zoom in by pressing I or Menu->Zoom In
  • In the CHAT Window, you can request for a users Profile by clicking on the chat line.
• Twitter Feature
  • Twitter  feature enables you to locate twitter posters near your city. (For this to work, your location must be established)
  • Click on Twitter button, it will take you to the Twitter login screen, enter your Twitter username/password (Twitter server authenticates you directly, password is sent to Twitter only)
  • After successful login, Twitter posters map will be displayed (small Twitter icons)
  • Click on the little Twitter icon and you will see the details of the posting
  • On the details of posting, you can directly go to the posting by clicking on the link or you can go to group chat. (Poster may not be online at the time you are view, others users may be there)
