The Censor Board has refused to grant ‘U’ certificate to Madhur Bhandarkar’s ambitious film ‘Fashion’, which is due for release on October 29. 

The film has some intimate love making scenes between Priyanka Chopra and newcomer Arjan Bajwa and due to this it was deemed to be fit for viewing only by mature people above the age of fifteen years. However, Madhur Bhandarkar was furious with the decision of board and even argued ferociously with the officials but they refused to change their decision. Though Madhur has the option of appealing to revising committee of the board about being given ‘A’ certificate, but due to less time on hand for release, has decided to accept the verdict.

Sources say that the Censor Board wanted Madhur to remove six scenes from the film if he wanted the removal of adult tag, but Madhur was not prepared to that. Of these six sequences, some depict Priyanka-Arjan Bajwa and Kangana Ranaut-Deepak in intimate love making poses.

Another point of objection from Censors was the fact of Priyanka and Kangana being shown as smoking cigarettes and taking drugs in the film.
